Advantages and Disadvantages of Condensers for Air-cooled Screw Chillers
Our commonly used air-cooled box chillers, air-cooled low-temperature chillers, and air-cooled screw chillers all use air-cooled condensers, also called fin condensers. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this condenser?
First, the advantages of air-cooled condenser
1. For water inconvenience or lack of water, air-cooled chiller is the first choice, because it uses an air-cooled condenser that uses the ambient air as a cooling medium. Smaller power (such as 1p chiller, 2p chiller, 3p chiller, etc.) is also recommended as an air-cooled chiller.
2. The air-cooled condenser can eliminate the cooling water supply system, which is very convenient for installation and reduces the cost. After receiving the air-cooled box chiller, just connect the chiller to the equipment that needs cooling, and turn on the power and water. If it is an air-cooled screw chiller, additional storage tanks and pumps are required.
3, air pollution and corrosion of air-cooled condenser is small, descaling is also convenient, there is no scale problem.
Second, the disadvantages of air-cooled condenser
1, the air thermal conductivity is poor, the specific heat capacity is small, so the air-cooled condenser condensing capacity is generally relatively small, it is difficult to apply to a large amount of cooling system.
2. The temperature of the air fluctuates greatly due to the influence of the environment and the season. The condensing temperature varies greatly between winter and summer. This will directly affect the cooling capacity and cooling efficiency of the chiller.
